Mrs Henderson Presents Warm and touching and rather funny. Judi Dench delivers an endearing performance as the widow who takes up the "hobby" of owning a theatre. One which becomes very successful and maintains success by being more daring than all the others in the east end. On the negative side though, I really did not need to see Bob Hoskins' wedding tackle!

Sin City
This movie is SO cool. It's all filmed like a cartoon pretty much, and it's just... so cool. The characters are oddly believable too, and they are also very cool. Great movie.. ___________________________
Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire
Better than the other 3, but it still sort of disappointed me. Its not a bad movie, but they missed out alot of the book. Such as the Rita Skeeter/bug thing, the Quidditch World Cup and any of the challenges in the maze. Hermione got hot though, and Voldemort could be the coollest looking thing ever.

Calendar Girls
Touching, warm and funny... with a cameo from the rock band Anthrax... I've not heard their music (that I know of) but I thought it was hilariously random to see Scott Ian saying hello to the ladies and saying who they were. ;D
Pirates Of The Carribean
Proof that my mum really does have a better dvd collection than me! Erm... good fun entertainment, and nicely paced. Great costumes and effects and some endearing characters.

I've spent the past 2 days watching the Lord of The Rings Trilogy. The ending of the last one ALWAYS manages to make me feel bleh, but i can't stop watching it

Dark Water
Has parts which are very similar to The Ring, but otherwise it was ok. Ending is kinda sad, but i don't really remember much about it.

I've only seen the original and really enjoyed it. Um, the last film I saw? The Rocky horror picture show. It's, erm... fun.

ConvictedTwas about a lawyer that befriends, and fightsfor a woman who awaits death on Death Row, and attempts to discover the real truth about a man that is associated with her, and eventually realises the truth It was alright, but it could have been a lot better...i was a bit disappointed, but the ending was good, though i enjoyed picking out the plot holes, and generally taking the p*ss Dark WaterI really enjoyed this film - It's about a woman and her child, who whilt in the middle of a custody battle, move into a run down apartment in a dank, near deserted neighbourhood, are haunted by a ghost, whom was a resident, but died. It's a good film, well paced, and some good performances by JenifferConnolly, and Tim Roth. Ariel Gade was quite convincing as Ceci, the girl who develpoed an "Imaginary" friend..she's similar to Dakota Fanning in many ways. Aye, so i say, rent this one - it's not scary as such, but there are a few moments that'll make you jump a bit

The Quiet American
Ageing European news reporter living in Saigon in 1952 befriends "economic aid worker" and finds out he's not what he seems. I thought this film was good in that it showed the different sides to people and questioned the viewer's preconceptions. Downsides... it had the villain from Martial Law in... ;D Nah he was quite good, but dangerous...
Also starred Michael Caine as the news reporter, with the young Vietnamese lover I can't think of the actress' name, and Brendan Fraser as well as the above mentioned actor who once played Sammo Hung's enemy in Martial Law, and in this film was Michael Caine's assistant.

The Producers Really enjoed this actually - Nathan Lane is really good as Max Bialystock, but personally it's Will Ferrell that was the highlight as Franz Liebkind, the German who wrote the story "Springtime For Hitler". Matthew Proderick was a bit disappointing, and i think he summed it up when his character duly noted "Mr Bialystock, i think you've mistaken me for someone with a spine" Jason X Everyone knows what happens...people get killed in funny ways which people have already deduced about 30 mins before they actually do die. best death? Jason puts his victims head into liquid Nitrogen, which duly freezes the head - then smashes it on the work bench

Same as above. Also, Underworld:evolution I think it's called. Was rather good. But don't go to see it if, like me, you opted out of cry wolf because you thought it'd be too gory... This is gorier (now a word ) than I expected. Good, but got a bit tedious and confusing. It'd help if you'd see nthe first one, but in this they give you a round-up of events that preceded the first underworld, so, whilst clarifying events for ye, it does get a bit confusing after a bit. Also, even my porn-addicted friend, whom I went to see the film with, was not buying the gratuitous sex scene. Also, whilst skimming through videos last night, I managed to catch bits of The Devils (Oliver Reed starring as a priest who has his end away with a few nuns. Cue a "madness, possession" type ordeal, a la Arthur Miller's The Crucible. ie a "controversial" film with a load of mad nuns who get their tits out.) and Crash (which boils down to lots of sex in wrecked cars... weirrrd...). So yeah, methinks tis time to see a decent, no-sex film now!

I saw Crash as part of my course... maybe in the second year. Yeah it is pretty strange. I thought... oh gosh the guy from sex, lies and videotape, was really good in it, in that he managed to keep my attention throughout the weirdness, but I did think "huh?" a lot of the time. For me it was a film that made me think, but then realise that sometimes it's best not to think too much! ;D

Casanova on Wednesday. I quite liked it. I was worried it would be cheesy but it was kinda sweet and contemplative on the nature of love, and of course, naughtiness.
