If you're accessing Smerkers from your school, college, university of workplace, then it could be because these establishments class this part of the site as being "chat", which (more often than not) gets banned across these networks, along with other chatrooms. My college always used to block it so it'd either not appear, or else a big square of "you are not authorised to view this page". The other likely reason is that the site which hosts the shoutboxes might be having a few technical problems or is just having a slow day on their server. In the latter case, it's just a case of waiting til the traffic slows down their end, or they sort out the problem, which shouldn't take very long. If it's a case of the former then there's nothing we can do about it, I'm afraid, short of bribing your school (etc)'s IT guy.  I know that the latter reason has been a problem for James in the past. Can't think of any other reasons for this blip - anyone with more pooter know-how care to add anything? |

I can only see the chat box once every so often. porqoi? It's most probably a suggestion of Ellen's, that's the most likely, but... What browser are you using? I find that sometimes on IE (Internet Explorer), sometimes images etc don't show up...and recently, i had to re-install Firefox, as it didnt allow my to view some images  It doesnt always happen, but sometimes it does. If the problem does persist dude, let me know, and i'll try to find out from the shoutbox supplier |
