A doofus/dufus, is someone who's slightly lacking upstairs... like this comic character...
I quite like the funny fellow, and since discovering the strip a few weeks a go I've finished reading the archive. Its quite nice to read when you're having a relaxing snack and drink at the pc, if this is your sort of humour.
