I'm sure we've had one of these before, but a quick scan threw up nothing, so either it's reeeally old, wasn't labelled appropriately or I was hallucinating it. Anyways, I was listening to a track from Elbow's album "asleep in the back", and was thinking back to the year before last when that used to be my soundtrack to fall asleep to, and it got me wondering: Which song/s would you pick to have playing in these situations: 1 - falling asleep in bed, late at night 2 - walking smugly down the street on a sunny day, when you're having one of those "everything is going perfectly" times 3 - flirting across a crowded club/cafe with a hott personage 4 - waking up to breakfast in bed with your special someone 5 - cramming for an exam/frantically writing up an assignment 6 - having an incredibly hectic/clumsy day at work 7 - indulging in one of those solitary reflective moments 8 - getting ready for a night out 9 - enjoying said night out with all your friends, living it up in style 10 - enjoying a lazy morning-after, all of you having crashed at one mate's house, nursing hang-overs and cringing over smudged make-up (pillow fights optional) 11 - watching the rain fall on a clear but grey day 12 - having a shexeh moment withyour man/lady. Feel free to pose your own situations!

(until I can think of a better one) 6 - Hot Hot Heat - bandages 7 - 8 - 9 - 10 - 11 - Regina Spektor - chemo limo 12 - Queens Of The Stone Age - you've got a killer scene there, man / anything by Shivaree

1 - falling asleep in bed, late at nightThere's a few that i use, but probably 'Shine On You Crazy Diamond' by Pink Floyd, as it's rather relaxing. 2 - walking smugly down the street on a sunny day, when you're having one of those "everything is going perfectly" timesAt the moment, either 'Fill My Little World' by The Feeling, or 'Just a Day' by Feeder 3 - flirting across a crowded club/cafe with a hott personageI want You To Want Me by Letters To Cleo. Sassy, and relevant. 4 - waking up to breakfast in bed with your special someoneErm...i'll let the missus choose that one 5 - cramming for an exam/frantically writing up an assignmentProbably 'Run Like Hell' by Pink Floyd, though when i'm doing essays i normally have the TV on next to me 6 - having an incredibly hectic/clumsy day at workthat's most days....Elliott Smith - Don't Go Down 7 - indulging in one of those solitary reflective momentsCounting Crows - Colourblind, or Guided By Voices - Hold On Hope 8 - getting ready for a night outModest Mouse - Float On. Normally puts me in a good frame of mind. 9 - enjoying said night out with all your friends, living it up in styleProbably 'Black Math' by The White Stripes, as it's kinda ther group 'song' after Devon 2003 10 - enjoying a lazy morning-after, all of you having crashed at one mate's house, nursing hang-overs and cringing over smudged make-up (pillow fights optional)Pass on this one...i don't go smudged make-up 11 - watching the rain fall on a clear but grey dayElbow - Fugitive Motel or Scattered Black And Whites 12 - having a shexeh moment with your man/lady.PJ Harvey - You Said Something (purely for sentimental value

1 - falling asleep in bed, late at night 2 - walking smugly down the street on a sunny day, when you're having one of those "everything is going perfectly" times National express -The Divine Comedy 3 - flirting across a crowded club/cafe with a hott personage I cant imagine ever doing this but if I did I think it would be Be My Baby by the Ronettes 4 - waking up to breakfast in bed with your special someone 5 - cramming for an exam/frantically writing up an assignment I've never done that 6 - having an incredibly hectic/clumsy day at work Break on Through (To the Other Side) - The Doors 7 - indulging in one of those solitary reflective moments 8 - getting ready for a night out Whats My Age Again? - Blink-182 9 - enjoying said night out with all your friends, living it up in style I useally find that when I go out theres a few songs that sometimes make the evening and its different everytime I go out. Last night it was Be My Baby by the Ronettes, Moondance by Van Morrison and Waterloo Sunet by the Kinks. 10 - enjoying a lazy morning-after, all of you having crashed at one mate's house, nursing hang-overs and cringing over smudged make-up (pillow fights optional) 11 - watching the rain fall on a clear but grey day 12 - having a shexeh moment withyour man/lady. I'll fill in the rest when I can think of the right songs. I'm not sure about some of my choices as well.
