This is the new scifi show Ch4 are showing. I don't know much about what's going on at the moment, only that there is a strange glowy creature in a lake making people ill, and one woman has become obsessed with water. Two actors of interest for me are the guy who plays Dave who is convinced there is an alien conspiracy and is carrying out his own investigation, and his brother in law in the show, a hunky ranger, Russel Varon. The actor playing Dave, I am sure was once in an episode of First Wave (ch5), playing a teenager sent mental at a metal gig, where someone (an alien I guess, a member of the Gua (pronounced gwar)) was inputting secret waves into the sound system to affect people. The guy playing Russel Varon, Eddie Cibrian used to be in Sunset Beach. Dave/LabineRussel/EddieMore links: Invasion, Ch4Dave's blogs

Well, things got weirder last night after the sheriff gave a rather ambiguous speech in Church, which may have implied he had an alien encounter before back in 1997. Could he be what attracted the glowy creature to the town?

I've heard about that one. I presume it's similar. What's the basics of what's going on on there then?

Well, it's about a family (technicaly 2 brothers) who are on a journey to find their father, who has gone missing. On the way, they come across some very odd happenings, and they have to work out what's going on, and each one helps them in their quest. The family is "haunted" by some very strange happenings - their mother was seemingly burned to death in as house fire, caused by someone/thing "other worldly", which also too kthe life of one of the brothers' girlfriend.
It's probably one of those programmes where people would rip the stoies to shreds etc, but i'm finding it an enjoyable programme, with a few twists here and there.

It sounds quite interesting. I think they're showing it in America too (,if it's the same programme) and Jensen Ackles from Dark Angel is in it, so I think I'll check it out then.
