Top Gear is a great show and it's the presenters that make it interesting. If you get three similar presenters in to talk about facts and figures of cars and race around a track then it's going to be a turn-off.
Clarkson has the wit and knowledge to help make Top Gear what it is, James May and Richard Hammond help make Clarkson what he is, while adding a dimension to Top Gear that had been lacking in previous years.
