So who do you like? My personal favourite is Nick Baker for his down to earth approachableness and because he really immerses himself in the habitats and gets really close to the animals. I can imagine him being the sort of kid who'd bring various creatures home in jars. Bill Oddie is also quite good. David Attenborough covers a broad range of animals/habitats but I find his dry way of speaking off putting, and he seems a bit distanced from his subject, even if it is only physical distance at times. I like to see some passion!

Does Steve Irwin count?

I guess he does. Even if at times he seems more like a lion tamer when compared to the others. Technically it's the same job. So yes.

Yeah, he clearly knows a lot about his stuff, although he does scare me sometimes with his daringness. He's definitely a peeping from behind your couch type wildlife presenter.

Aye, Steve Irwin manages to make it sound fun, and factual at the same time - it's a good approach to have. Attenborough, although interesting..i struggle to concentrate through a whole episode...i dunno why, but it's hard to keep the interest levels up But Bill Oddie is a legend
