Prompted by news of Brian Warner going into films, I got thinking, and remembering the likes of Sting and Jon Bon Jovi. What do you think about these musicians that just are not satisfied with music? Should they leave the cameras alone, or can some of them really cut it?

Depends. I like Flea in the films I've seen him in, Back To The Future (I think just the last two) and Big Lebowski, but he didn't exactly have a big role in either. Meatloaf, however, should quit music and stick to acting. Saves a lot of peoples' hearing that way

i think some musicians are good in films but what about when actors start signing?? tbh, i'd rather see Robert Downey Jnr singing than Meatloaf acting

*raises eyebrow* *cough*On with the original topic: I think singers who go into acting is fine, so long as they can actually act and act well, and vice versa regarding actors and singing. What really p*sses me off is when one rides on the merits of their success in one field and thinks that this automatically entitles them to a brilliant career in another field which relies on different talents. It doesn't seem to matter to them, their "fans" or their managers whether they actually possess those talents, just that they're branching out. Some of their "yesmen" need to take the wool off of their eyes and out of their ears and actually interject with an "Actually love, don't give up your day job" once in a while.

Aye, that is a very good point. This makes me think of the model Naomi Campbell in particular.
