Yeah, I mean, they sound pretty ideal for my needs at the moment, and they're nearby so I won't need to waste any of my wages on a bus.

Well I figured I'd give an update... I decided to stay in Southampton instead... and am still unemployed. At the moment employers seem put of by my degree - expecting me to fly into a media job any second. If I was able to get something I liked i would be going for it!!! I am a little p*ssed off by this at the moment. I'm hoping to get some temporary shop work so that I have money coming in, gain some experience, and if they like me I could possibly stay on permanent. I say temporary because I can't imagine them wanting to take a risk on me with my "oh so cool film degree". It's more of a curse at the moment! *sigh*

god, in one month i'm gonna have to get back into my job-seeking routine. *cries* i think this time i'll fair a bit better though, i have experience now, and some confidence. and its xmas soon, so there's alot of seasonal temp jobs everywhere, or at least there will be in a few weeks. the plan is, if i have to leave this job which it looks likely i have to do, is get a temp job over xmas, then look seriously again come January and hopefully be employed again by Easter. if not... its back into that downward spiral again.

Go for a temp job you like, though, cos in some cases, if the employer's impressed by your work, you can be asked to work on a more permanent basis.

it was never permanent... was originally only til the end of October (hence the early hopes of continuing JBS afterwards) but they extended that for another 3 weeks.
Penny always wanted to keep me on for longer, but it seems James doesn't think i'm needed at the moment. i can see his point tbh, 4 people working in a very small shop really is pushing it.

Oh ok. Don't remember the non-permanent part. It got me wondering "WTF did he do to get himself sacked by only one of the bosses?!"

Yeah, the way it was worded it does sound like Ash is a footballer. Hehehe.
As for my job hunting, I had a call today, and I have a group(!) interview for Toys R Us on Wednesday morning. I'm screwed. They're not going to want an inexperienced 22 yr old... but who knows... the other applicants might not be particularly good. One can only hope.
