carrier bag handles and the fact I have found only one place that does frozen spinach.

I do not like Dr Glidden. The only two times I've ever had anything vaguely serious wrong with me (the toe thing and apendicitis) he has dismissed me with minimal concern. No advice. No questions.
He is the most smug, smarmy, belittling person I can think of, and he has this sickly way of talking and "holier than thou" attitude. I think his philosophy is "Is the patient likely to die in my office? No. Thus they are faking." I swear, had I seen him with my breathing difficulties when I was younger, he would have notched it up to me not being fit enough and walking just that bit too quickly, rather than asthma bad enough to warrant beclomethsone and sulbutamol dioproprionate.
He's the kind to hand a patient a roll of sellotape if they came in with a severed leg.
"injured some tissue", indeed! I could have told you that after the immediate bruising, you w*nker.

I think it's possibly a fracture or a chipped bone. Or something with the tendons. Either way, it hurts like f**k and the swelling (which has spread to underneath my foot too, for some reason) doesn't seem like it's due solely to tissue damage - especially given the places that seem worst affected. Now you know why I insisted it was pointless seeing someone...

If you never get any joy with this guy, can you change doctor?

He's not actually my doctor though. My one is apparently so good that he rarely actually practices in the surgery any longer (which jsut seems stupid to me), thus all his patients get offloaded onto any other doctors that are free... So I have no idea who I'jm seeing til I turn up.

Go to A&E and get it X Ray-ed
It's the only way to see if it's a break, or wether it's just tendon damage or just severe bruising.

Sound advice methinks. My rant of the day: people who use text speak and really lazy use of the English language and then call you abusive if you complain!! Well that's the last time I try to drop a friendly hint. Next time I'll ignore anyone who can't be bothered to make their points easy to read. Tsk. I got reprimanded by somebody on a yahoo group for making a comment about their language. It was intended to be a friendly nudge to get them to be a bit more thoughtful. Oh well. I guess some people never do anything wrong...

People who insist upon being the last poster in every single thread within (one or more) forum boards. It doesn't make ye look like you have a lot to say, it doesn't make you look cool: it makes you look like a spammer desperate to up the post count. Agreed

Narrowminded mainstream society.
Then again, without it we'd never have the word quirky, and quirky is good. Quirky rocks. Sometimes quirky is even sexy.
