I *reeeally* want to see "The Producers"! Soooo much! I loved the stage musical, in which Nathan Lane completely stole the show, so I'm eager to see how he fairs in the film version. I'd also like to see Narnia, but that's because I'd like to see what they've done with it and reckon that seeing it on the small screen will only pale in comparison to the full cinematic experience. Those ones

How about seeing The Producers on Thursday, then? As part of my birthday thang. And I'll buy you a scarf and loofah afterwards.

the trailer for 'The Boogeyman' looked quite good...maybe i'll see that soonish If it's the same boogeyman film I saw, I thought it was crap.

I'll lend it to ye, as my sister was bought it. I agree with Andy, it's utter shoite. The trailer is far, far better. Someone needs to strip it down to the key ideas and motifs shown in the trailer, and build up a cracking film from that.

That sounds like a sensible plan and I haven't even seen it. Did you know, trailers are often filmed before a movie is barely started? Sometimes that happens. it's how some independent features get backing. Graham might already be aware of this, I don't know, but I thought I'd mention it.

Ice Age 2 looks tempting. I liked the first one they showed on tv recently.

Aye, I want to see that. Also "The hills have eyes" remake, but am too scaredy to go see it at the cinema - I'm one of those people who love horror films but only when I'm curled up with someone else and a cushion or two on a sofa.

I really want to see Silent Hill, but after watching Graham play the 3rd game on PS2 a while ago, I think that might be another one for home DVD-age. And I'm still to see The Hills Have Eyes. This weeked I saw An American Haunting. It was ok, although despite both Phil and I jumping a few times and hiding, I was rather disappointed in the plot. The film's meant to be based on the tale of The Bell Witch, and as the film deviated rathersome (granted, it was only a "based on" affair), I was left feeling like they'd started out all enthusiastic, but then the passion and budget had run out, so they quickly wrapped up the story. And I have to say that although we were being wussy in the theatre, it was purely due to the amazing work of the music people involved in the film: they were seriously good with building up the tension. The camera angles got a bit tiresome fairly early on in the haunting, and then ending's probably not as clear as it could have been (I had to explain it to Phil). Also saw Narnia - again, a let down. I think I'd rather watch the TV series again. It lacked the lustre of similarly huge/overhyped films like LOTR and Harry Potter *spits* *feels dirty for mentioning that name*. I re-watched Laon, too. It's quite possibly my favourite film, and as with all films for which you have a soft spot, there are always little ways in which you want to change it to fit in with your little "happy world" ideals, so again I found myself turning away as Réno exits the apartment block, tuning in again only to hear the words "This is from Mathilda". I love that film so much, it just warms my heart. And sorry for the vagueness, but I don't want to spoil it for those hwo haven't seen it. Watched Saw 2 with Graham, and again with the family a few days later. I didn't think it as good as the first, although I admit to hiding behind cushions throughout even more of this one than the last, too. Entertaining enough, but I don't know how they'd do a third film now that we know who's behind it all. I don't think it'd be the same. I watched The Guru on TV last night with the girls, and I hadn't seen it before. Wasn't so bad: it was comprised of a little more cheese than I'd expected, though, and I'm rather intrigued as to why Heather Graham and Marisa Tomei signed up to that movie, especially as the lead actor is a little-known ex-EastEnder... Other films I really want to see at the cinema include Inside Man, Munich & Walk The Line.

Some teamings can be a little surprising, but some actors/actresses will sign up for some films that are different from their norm. Usually you only expect it from Johnny Depp though! ;D

In such films where there has been an emphasis on 'indian' characters (i would say Bollywood, but it's not exactly right) Jimi Mistry has in 'East Is East' also, but i agree that otherwise, he's more known for doing TV work such as Eastenders, and i think he might have been in 'Spooks' too.

I think Jimi Mistry is one that does pop up in various places actually. You're definitely on to something there.
